1. Valedictory Session and conclusion of the 12- day Employability Skill Development Programme, jointly organised by the College, Mahindra Pride Classroom and Naandi Foundation- 08.11.2024

         A 12-day Employability Skill Development Programme was organised for the female students of B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. (Fifth Semester) and M.A., M.Sc. and M.Com. (Third Semester) classes from 21.10.2024 to 8.11.2024, in collabration with Mahindra Pride Classroom and Naandi Foundation. The Programme was conceptualised at the College level through the initiative of the Convenor, Dr. Shamini Shrivastava, Assistant Professor and Head, Department of Psychology and the Coordinator, Dr. Pravesh Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology, in consultation with the Principal, Prof. Manoj Kumar Tripathi. Mr. Mahendra Pratap Singh, alumnus of the College, with a 13 year experience in professional training of various kinds, was the chief educator and trainer of the students in the Programme.
The Programme had a standardised skill- based education module comprising of 8 skills of emphasis, apart from some other aspects:

•Identifying uniqueness,
•Positive self-affirmations for sustained motivation
•Goal setting
•Time management, •Professional grooming •Cleanliness and hygiene for self-monitoring and preparation
•Resume building •Application process •e- mail etiquettes and protocols for searching career opportunities and carrying out effective communication
•Group discussions
•Money management
•Conflict management for essential on-the-job skills

         The module culminated into a mock- interview and feedback process. The Programme was formally inaugurated by the Principal, on 21.10.2024. The Chief Proctor, Dr. Arvind Singh, Convener, Coordinator and Members of the organising committee and educator-resource person were present on the occasion.

         Two batches of fifty female students each successfully completed the Programme received their certificates for the same. Overwhelmingly positive feedback was received from the participants who expressed their desire for the continuation of such skill development for the benefit of the students of the College in future too.

         The Managing Secretary, Er. Atul Bhargava was the chief guest in the valedictory session which was held on 08.11.2024. The Principal, Prof. Manoj Kumar Tripathi, who was the guest of honour in the valedictory session, also addressed the students. The speakers emphasised the value of such skill development programmes for enhancing the employability, productivity and efficiency of students and expressed the institutional commitment on the part of the College to organise such quality enhancement initiatives for students on regular basis.

2. Mental Health Screening Camp organised by the Department of Psychology under Mission Shakti-5 - 20.11.2024.

A Mental Health Screening Camp was organised on 20.11.2024 by the Department of Psychology, Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli under the U.P. Government’s programme Mission Shakti Phase- 5. It aimed to leverage the advantage of quality clinical expertise available with the Department of Psychology and deliver it for the benefit of the students of the College. The councelling was delivered to the students without any fee being charged and the identity of the student was kept secret.

The mental councelling camp was inaugurated by the Managing Secretary of the College, Er. Atul Bhargava. While addressing the camp, The Managing Secretary, Er. Atul Bhargava and the Principal, Prof. Manoj Kumar Tripathi, Manoj Kumar Tripathi motivated the students through their words and exhorted them to participate in the camp without any hesitation. The camp was also addressed by the organising team members of Mission Shakti- 5 in the College, including Dr. Alka Singh, Associate and Dr. Rita Rani. Dr. Amish and Dr. Vinay Kumar, both Assistant Professors, Department of Psychology delivered their lectures highlighting the importance of mental health, awareness and action required to the students. Dr. Shamini Srivastava, Assistant Professor and Head Department of Psychology and Shri Vishnu Sharan Tripathi, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology functioned as the overall event organiser and the camp consultant respectively. The inaugural session was anchored by Dr. Sonam Kumari Rawat, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology.

The actual mental health screening and councelling session were conducted by Dr. Shamini Srivastava, Shri Vishnu Sharan Tripathi, Dr. Shrawan Kumar Dikshit and Shri Shubham Kharwar, all Assistant Professors in the Department of Psychology. The participating students were given quality inputs and early initial support strategies based on certain objective indicators of mental health and related issues which emerged from the evaluation and interaction with them in their respective mental councelling sessions. The registration capacity in the camp was full and the feedback received from the participants was very encouraging. The general refrain of the councellors and the participants was that there was a need to organise such mental health camps in the College on regular basis.

3. The NCC Company of the College celebrates the NCC Foundation Day- 24.11.2024.

      The fourth Sunday of the month of November is observed every year as the NCC Foundation Day. In line with the spirit of the day, the NCC Company of the College organised various programmes. Cadets of the NCC Company of the College took out a rally to mark the day. The ANO, Capt (Prof) Rajesh Kumar delivered his motivating lecture on human rights before the Cadets. Cdt Prakhar Vikram Singh, Cdt Sahasranshu Singh and Cdt Azadun Bano also delivered their speeches on the subject. A poster competition was also organised on the occasion in which Cdt Sushant Gupta, Cadt Kajal Sharma and Cadt Anamika Chaudhary secured the first place, second place and third place respectively.

4. Faculty members and students of the Department of Physics participate in the one- day SERB Sponsored Workshop on 'Material Characterisation for Energy Applications and Software Sensors" at RGIPT, Amethi- 30.11.2024.

      A group of 30 persons of the Department of Physics of the College, comprising of Dr. Sanjay Srivastava, Head of Department of Physics, Dr. Shikha Jaiswal, Associate Professor and Shri Amit Kumar, Assistant Professor, doctoral research scholars and students of M.Sc. (3rd Semester), Physics and M.Sc. (5th Semester), Physics classes participated in the one- day SERB Sponsored Workshop on the theme ‘Material Characterisation for Energy Application and Soft Sensors’ at Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technologyv(RGIPT), Jais, Amethi on 30.11.2024. The participants were introduced to the emerging sensor based technologies by the faculty and technical staff of RGIPT.

      The workshop exposed the students to the practical demonstration of printed electronics, quantum qubits and renewable energy. The visit to the Central Instrumentation Facility of RGIPT made the students aware of the different analytical tools like XRD, TEM, SEM, spectrophotometer which are used to characterise the materials and their thin films. The participants in the Workshop were hugely enriched by the very informative lectures delivered before them by the domain experts of RGIPT.
