Mission

  • Since its establishment in the year 1960, Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli has grown manifold from a humble institution with 06 teachers, 05 classrooms and 55 students to the present state of 96 teachers, 16 teaching Departments in 04 Faculties, more than 30 classrooms and 4,300 students. Over its entire growth trajectory, the College has remained committed to fulfilling the vision of its founding fathers oriented towards imparting value based quality higher education to the students of educationally and economically less developed District of Rae Bareli and especially to girls and students coming from socially and economically disadvantaged sections of the society.
  • During more than six decades of its existence, the College has unfailingly adhered to its avowed core principles which are like articles of faith for the College- institutional integrity, strictly merit based admissions, regular class teaching, disciplined campus and free and fair examinations.
  • As an institution serving the noble social cause of higher education, the College remains firm on fulfilling the exalted ideals of growth with equity and quality with inclusion in its attitudes, structures and processes.
  • The College has persistently enabled its students to seek and pursue knowledge in an atmosphere of freedom without any narrow mindedness so that they are able to acquire the abilities of critical thinking, logical reasoning, rationality of thought and wholistic perception.

Vision

  • The College aims to cater to the need of preserving the core traditional cultural values of the Indian society and responding to the challenges of innovations in higher education brought about by NEP, 2020
  • It is the endeavour of the College to transform the students into academically sound, socially responsible, disciplined and digitally empowered citizens of the country so that they can can carve out a niche for themselves and stand on their feet with honour, dignity and self- respect in life and can contribute to the process of nation building and economic development.
