    Prof. Nilanshu Kumar Agarwal, Professor, Department of English in Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli conducted an Online Podcast interview with Daniela Rogobete on 02.11.2025. Daniela Rogobete is an Associate Professor, Department of Foreign Languages, University of Craiova, Romania. She has produced her doctoral research thesis on the research topic ‘Deconstructing Silence in the Fiction of Salman Rushdie’ at the West University, Timisoara, Romania. Her major areas of interest mostly lie in post- colonial literatures, intertextuality, aesthetics, culture studies, Scottish literary studies and visual culture. She has also translated Aldous Huxley, Paul Auster, Junot Diaz, Salman Rushdie and Deepa Anappara.

   During the course of the interview, she dwelt at length on the materiality of the objects, significance of the ordinariness, different types of silences, intertextuality, translation theory, problem of cultural and linguistic gaps in the process of translation, ekphrasis, graphic novels, text illustrations, Scottish studies and also ESSE Conference.
