'ज्ञान, शांति एवं प्रगति'
'Gyan, Shanti evam Pragati'
('Knowledge, Peace and Progress')
- The three major parts of the logo- the ribbon at the top, the shield in the middle and the escroll at the bottom are filled with bright golden colour and are bordered in red colour to represent the rich legacy, traditions and the sublime values associated with the College.
- The institutional philosophy of the College is aptly reflected in its motto “ज्ञान, शांति एवं प्रगति” (“Gyan, Shanti evam Pragati”) signifying that the attainment of real knowledge leads to the dawn of peace which in turn leads to all round progress in the society. The motto is written in royal blue colour inside the ribbon at the top of the shield.
- The shield in the middle has the three symbols- an open book, an olive branch and a wheel. The open book at the top left hand corner of the shield, representing the pursuit of knowledge with an open mind, is shown in black colour. The olive branch in the middle of the shield, which symbolises the dawn of peace as a consequence of the pursuit of true knowledge and which in turn serves as a precursor of all- round progress, is shown in olive green colour. The wheel having 24 spokes in the bottom right hand corner of the shield, representing continuous progress through perseverance, dedication and hard work, is shown in blue colour.
- The escroll or the ribbon at the bottom, contains the name of the College in royal blue colour representing the universality of knowledge.
- The year of establishment of the College i.e. 1960 is written in royal blue colour between the shield and the escroll to empathise the firm base base of the vision of its founders on which the College rests.
