1. Orientation Programme on Digital Tools for Mental Well- Being organised by the Department of Psychology, Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli in collaboration with NIMHANS, Bangalore- 04.02.2026.
A one- day Orientation Programme on Digital Tools for Mental Well- Being was organised by the Department of Psychology, Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli in collaboration with the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences, Bangalore on 04.02.2026. Mr. Jomy T. Jose of NIMHANS, Project Manager, Empowering Communities through Digital Psychological Interventions in Mental Healthcare was the Resource Person of the Orientation Programme.
The Resource Person threw light on the different digital tools available for the self- help of the students in cases of various mental health issues faced by them. The students were informed that in the state of depression they can use, PUSH-D (https://echargementalhealth.nimhans.ac.in/pushd/home), for their general mental well- being they can use, My WellBeing Self (https://mywellbeingshelf.in), for mental health of the groups (https://letstalklifeforum.in) and for their self- awareness they can access, MindNotes App (by NIMHANS) and for immediate help for mental health problems they can use the 24X7 free, confidential, multi- lingual helpline, Tele MANAS(14416 एवं 800-891-4416).
The Principal, Prof. Manoj Kumar Tripathi was the Chief Guest of the programme. Shri Vishnu Sharan Tripathi, Assistant Professor and Dr. Shamini Shrivastava, Assistant Professor and Head and Dr. Amish, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology functioned as the Organising Secretary, Convener and the Co- convener of the programme. The programme was conducted by Dr. Sonam Kumari Rawat. Teachers and students of the Department of Psychology and other Departments of the College were present.
2. Awareness Programme on Breast and Cervical Cancer organised by the Department of Psychology, Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli in collaboration with CPAI- 04.02.2026.
Awareness Programme on Breast and Cervical Cancer among the women was organised by the Department of Psychology, Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli in collaboration with the Community Psychology Association of India (CPAI) to mark the World Cancer Day on 04.02.2026. In her address, the Resource Person of the awareness programme, Dr. Shameekha Mishra, Oncologist, Sankush Cancer Hospital, Rae Bareli laid emphasis on spreading awareness and regular health check- ups for the prevention of the disease. The Managing Secretary of the College, Er. Atul Bhargava and the Principal, Prof. Manoj Kumar Tripathi were the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour of the programme respectively.
Dr. Shamini Shrivastava, Head, Department of Psychology and Dr. Amish, Assistant Professor, Department of Psychology in the College functioned as the Convener and Co- convener of the programme respectively. The Organising Secretary of the programme, Dr. Sonam Kumari Rawat played an important role in ensuring the success of the programme. Teachers and female students of the Department of Psychology and other Departments of the College were present.
3. Mohit, student of B.A. (Semester- 4), 2025- 26 in Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli selected to represent the University of Lucknow Taekwondo team to participate in the North Zone Inter- University Taekwondo competition- 07.02.2026.
Mohit, a student of B.A. (Semester- 4), 2025- 26 in the College put up an excellent performance in the Inter- Collegiate Taekwondo Championship (80kgs category) of the University of Lucknow on 07.02.2026 and was selected as a member of the University of Lucknow Taekwondo Team to participate to participate in the North Zone Inter- University Taekwondo Competition.
4. Delegation of Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli called on the newly appointed Vice Chancellor, University of Lucknow, Lucknow- 11.02.2026.
A delegation of Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli, led by the Managing Secretary, Er. Atul Bharava, called on Prof. J.P. Saini, the newly appointed Vice Chancellor of the University of Lucknow on 11.02.2026. Apart from the Managing Secretary, the delegation consisted of the Principal, Prof. Manoj Kumar Tripathi, Memeber of the Management, Shri Duni Chand and the Coordinator, IQAC, Shri Shailendra Tripathi. The delegation extended its warm greetings and congratulations to Prof. Saini on his appointment as the Vice Chancellor and conveyed to him the best wishes of the College for a successful and distinguished tenure as the Vice Chancellor. The delegation apprised the Vice Chancellor about the historical legacy, attributes, features and basic facts of the College and also extended an invitation to him to visit the College soon at his convenience. On his part, the Vice Chancellor assured the College delegation that he would like to visit the College at an early date and would preside over a meeting of the Aided and Government Degree Colleges of Rae Bareli District in Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli campus. He exhorted the College to participate in the NIRF ranking process, increase the quantum of quality research output, establish an innovations centre and seek approval for the new employment oriented academic programmes. He also said that subject to the existence of required facilities, Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli would soon be recognised as the extended research centre of the University of Lucknow.
5. Annual Sports Meet of Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli- 16.02.2026 and 17.02.2026.
The Annual Sports Meet 2025- 26 of Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli was organised on the sports ground of the College on 16.02.2026 and 17.02.2026. The Inaugural Function of the Sports Meet was graced by the Executive Director of AlIMS, Rae Bareli, Dr. Amita Jain as the Chief Guest and the Function was presided over by the President of the Managing Committee, Er. S.L. Chandwani. The Vice President of the Managing Committee, Shri Rajeeva Bhargava and the Managing Secretary, Er. Atul Bhargava were the Guests of Honour of the Function. The Chief Guest, Dr. Amita Jain ceremonially inaugurated the Sports Meet by receiving the salute of the marching contingents of the PAC Band, NCC Company, Rovers and Rangers Unit, and the sports teams of the College, raising the College flag, releasing balloons in the air, lighting the torch (mashaal) of the Meet, administering the oath to the participants and formally declaring the Sports Meet open.
The Inaugural Function started on 16.02.2026 with the Principal, Prof. Manoj Kumar Tripathi welcoming all guests, retired and serving teachers, all participants and media persons. The Head, Department of Physical Education and Secretary, Games Committee, Prof. C. Lal presented the Annual Progress Report, 2025- 26 of the Department of Physical Education of the College. The Vice President, Shri Rajeeva Bhargava underlined the importance of such sporting events in fostering a spirit of healthy competition among the students. The Managing Secretary, Er. Atul Bhargava traced the growth of the College from a small institution in 1960 to its present state. Delivering her inaugural address, the Chief Guest, Dr. Amita Jain exhorted the students to regularly participate in sporting, physical and Yoga activities by emphasising that a healthy mind lives in a healthy body and only healthy minds can lead the country on its way to the ambitious goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. Proposing a vote of thanks towards the end of the inaugural function, the President of the College Sports Committee, Prof. Niranjan Kumar Singh expressed the view that participation in sporting activities teaches a student to accept victory or defeat, success or failure with dignity and equanimity of mind thus enabling them to have the inner strength and courage to cope up with the situations of adversity in life.
(i). The Prize Distribution and Closing Ceremony of the Annual Sports Meet was held on 17.02.2026. Senior journalist, freelance writer, eminent social worker of Rae Bareli and former Bureau Chief of the Hindi daily Hindustan, Shri Gaurav Awasthi was the Chief Guest of the Closing Ceremony in which the former Principal of the College, Dr. Adarsh Kumar and the Manager of Rising Child Public School, Shri Arvind Srivastava were present as the Guests of Honour. The Ceremony was presided over by Shri Rajeeva Bhargava. The Prize Distribution part of the Closing ceremony was conducted by Dr. C. Lal who proposed a formal vote of thanks for everyone at the end of the Ceremony. The Inaugural Function and Closing Ceremony were successfully conducted by Dr. Santosh Kumar Pandey, Assistant Professor, Department of Hindi.
(ii). Anju, a student of B.A. (Semester- 2) class, 2025- 26 was declared the best female athlete and Neelesh Saroj, a student of M.A. (Semester- 2) class, 2025- 26 was adjudged as the best male athlete of the College in the Sports Meet
