Department of Physics in Feroze Gandhi College, Rae Bareli was opened in the year 1963 with 4 students in B.Sc.-I and Dr. R. P. Sharma as the Head of the Department, M.Sc. classes in the Department started in 1972. Various teachers appointed in the department during the years are :
