Department History

As been related to Gandhi family FGC has very prestigious history.

    The Department of Hindi came into existence in 1960 with Dr. Prem Prakash Gautam as first Head of the Department. P. G. status was graduate to the department in 1970. Highly qualified scholars joined the department from time to time.

Feroze Gandhi College is the main center for higher education in the Raebareli district. The college was established on 8th August, 1960 by the then Member of Parliament Sri Feroze Gandhi. At present the college is providing education in four faculties namely "Science, Arts, Commerce & Education". There is also a proposal to  declare it  A Deemed University.
